CLASSICAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTING & DRAWING

Have you always wanted to understand how the paintings and drawings of artists throughout history have been created? Are you a practicing artist, graphic designer, illustrator, fashion designer or architect who wants to further develop your skills in the area or color, drawing or painting? Are you someone who used to make art, is tired of being in front of a computer and seriously wants to nourish your artistic side again?

We host daytime and evening classes that can be taken intensively if visiting Dublin or over a long period if you live in the city. These classes work in an incremental manner.
In the studio you will learn by direct demonstration from the teacher - in a systematic way and over a period of time - how to paint flesh, landscape and abstraction. The teaching philosophy is as it was in the traditional ateliers of Europe of the 1500-1900's with one key difference: the studio takes all the techniques from the Renaissance, the French and Venetian schools, Impressionism, Expressionism and present day painting and study these as one. You, the student, then decides how you wish to bring these influences into your own personal work. The most insightful artists understand that the richest work draws from all time periods...  About us
